Om Peace, Peace, Peace.”

Description:

This peaceful mantra is considered to be inspired from the Brihadaraṇyaka Upanishad verse 1.4.14. If you are either a yoga student  or a yoga teacher, you can use this Sanskrit mantra to start and end a yoga class or for your own yoga practice. This mantra can be recited daily for peace in a general sense, as well.

These powerful healing sounds (mantra) readjust the energetic universe in such a way to bring about your intended desire. This is the power of a Sanskrit mantra. Your intention directs the mind focusing it on a desire, the sound of the mantra grounds it into the physical universe rearranging the essential elements in such a way that allows for your desired result.

The mantra has both physiological and psychological effects on your body. Furthermore, reciting a mantra drastically calms the person and slows down the breathing process, which helps to regularize your heart beat and keep your heart healthy.

This mantra is a Shanti mantra, a type of mantra which always ends with three utterances of the word “Shanti” (Peace). The reason for uttering three times is for pacifying, calming and removing obstacles in three realms which are:

  • “Physical” or Adhi-Bhautika;
  • “Divine” or Adhi-Daivika;
  • “Internal” or Adhyaatmika.

These obstacles are called “Tapa-Traya” or three classes of troubles.
