Wah Yantee lyrics:
„Wah yantee kar yantee, jag dut patee, aadak it waha, brahmaday trayshaa guroo, it wahay guroo.”
Wah Yantee Mantra – Ajna Chakra Mantra translation in English:
„Great Macro-self, Creative Self. All that is creative through time, all that is the Great One. Three aspects of God: Vishnu, Brahma, Mahesh. That is Wahe Guru.”
This is an incredibly sacred mantra, written in ancient Sanskrit by the author of the yoga sutras and the eight-limbed ashtanga path, Patanjali.
Patanjali is one of the 18 siddhars in Shaivism. Academics estimate that Patanjali lived some time between 400 BCE and 200 AD, though they are in debate about these dates.
In the Yoga tradition, Patanjali is a admired name and has been deified by many groups, specifically in the Shaivite bhakti tradition. It is believed by some that Patanjali is an incarnation of the mythical serpent Ananta, the king of all nagas .
In one famous legend, Patanjali was born to Atri and his wife Anasuya (this would make Patanjali go back to the time of the creation by Svayambhu).
Yogi Bhajan said that it was a mantra of opening your third eye chakra. It’s ancient nature (having been chanted for over two thousand years) makes it the „pinnacle of hundreds of years of prayer”.
Mantras are very specific mathematical equations for the energy body (aura and nadis) around the human being.
Each Sanskrit letter corresponds to a number and when you crack the cipher (transcribing numbers for sounds), you usually are left with a mathematical mystery, like sacred mantras equaling the numbers in pi for a few digits. They reprogram your pranic body and connect you with a powerful healing current of energy.
This mantra is just such a device that you can use to plug into the equation: human + Wah Yantee = third chakra opens.
Open yourself to your own intuition and see what happens.
