Kundalini Mantras

Sikh Ardas complete lyrics:

”Tu thakur tum peh ardas.

Jee-o pind sabh teri raas.

Tum maat pita hum baarik tayray.

Tumri kirpa mein sukh ghanayray.

Koi na jaanai tumra ant.

Oochay te oocha bhagwant.

Sagal samagri tumrai sutir Dhari.

Tum te hoye so agiakari.

Tumri gat mit tum hi jaane.

Nanak das sada kurbani!”

Tu Thakur Tum Peh Ardas Jiyo Pind Sab Teri Raas mantra meaning in English:

”You are our Lord our prayers are unto You.

This body enlivens through your blessings.

You are our mum-dad we are your children.

In Your grace do we find unbound benediction.

No one has discerned Your extremity.

Higher than the highest is Your adobe.

Whole cosmos is threaded in You.

And it abides by Your orders.

Your workings only You apprehend.

Servent ”Nanak” is ceded on You till the end!”

Description:

This Gurbani is recited before the last prayers of any devotional Sikh service. Also, this passage is a supplication to the Supreme Mind to help and support the practitioner with whatever she or he is about to undertake or has done.

Moreover, another purpose of this chant is an appeal to Guru for his protection and care, as well as being a plea for the prosperity and welfare of all mankind.

The Guru’s word (Gurbani) is what the Guru spoke. It is the pathway to God. Gurbani is the imprint of the essence of God. If the ordinary human being speaks it, it will always elevate him to that state of consciousness of the Guru.

The whole language of Gurbani has the power to make an individual divine simply by chanting it correctly and with sincere devotion. One need not be concerned with its meaning in order to experience a change in consciousness.
