Open to Love Meditation – Sat Kartar Mantra

Kundalini Mantras

Sat Kartar mantra translation in English:

„God is the Doer.”

Sar Kartar means Great Divine One or the God, is the One doing this action, this situation.

Description:

This pacifying mantra is a sound that Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh religion, which is now the 5th-largest organized religion in the world. A visionary and a great soul, Guru Nanak was an original spiritual thinker.

The „Sat” in this Kundalini mantra is first identifying the Soul’s True Sound (means Essence of Truth, or Being).

„Kartar” in this amazing mantra, means Doer, and when the two words are combined, literally translates as „Doer, Manifestor, or Walker of the Truth”. When these sacred sounds are chanted/affirmed over time, as a spiritual practice, we are in effect, opening to love, expanding, and directing the energetic flow of the Heart.

The second aspect of this healing mantra is that it is a key to living in a state of Faith; we are calling our souls to walk, to experience, to do, in our lives with the sincere belief and understanding that the Divine One is working in all situations. To experience the trusting, faithful aspect of love in our lives, we occasionally need to first do the work to open and trust the Flow of the Divine doing everything.

When we open to that healing Flow then we establish and allow a path for the Universe to Flow back to us in response, with All it is waiting to give to us.

According to Sat Kartar Kaur Khalsa, chanting this mantra „is a key to living in a state of faith”.

Open to Love meditation:

As you start chanting the word SAT, put your hands pressed together in prayer(pose at the heart chakra).

As you chant the sacred word KAR, the hands are extended out from the shoulders, half-way approaching the final pose. Fingers are pointing straight up.

As you chant TAR, the arms are completely extended out to the sides and alongside to the floor, fingers pointing up. Make the transition from step to step a sinuous movement.

It’s a wonderful heart-opening meditation for anyone who feels their heart is closed, experiencing heartache, holding the chest or simply wanting to bring balance, expansion, and trust to his or her life. In addition, practicing this mantra meditation balances the functioning of the endocrine system, which normalizes the production of stress hormones, which produces a general wellness system.
