Jugaad Guray Nameh,
Sat Guray Nameh,
Siri Guroo Dayvay Nameh.”
Mangalacharan Mantra translation in English:
„I bow to the primal Source of Creation,
I bow to the Wisdom through the Ages.
I bow to the True Wisdom.
I bow to the great, unseen Wisdom”
Aad Guray Nameh mantra meaning:
This is the Mangala Charn Mantra, and is chanted to clear the past, present and future karma and invoke the protective energy of the creation. The healing vibration of the mantra surrounds the conscious practitioner with powerful protective energy (light, also known as prana) and strengthens your personal aura (or subtle body).
This happens, because on an energetic level, our spiritual or etheric body, which includes our chakras (energy vortex) and nadis (energy channels) and aura also respond to the healing vibration of mantras.
Each sound or word in this mantra has a very specific energetic effect. Yogi Bhajan taught hid students that this mantra should always be recited three times in a row. In addition, this amazing mantra is recited after tuning in into a class with the Adi Mantra.
This shabad mantra is found on page 262 of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scripture of Sikh tradition. It is the leading stanza of Sukhmani Sahib, written by Guru Arjun Dev Ji, 5th Guru of the Sikhs.
Many people recite this protection mantra when they need more protection in certain times. Furthermore, it is part of the „triple mantra”, and is often chanted before driving a car to create a protective magical energy around the people in the car.
In addition, this protection mantra also opens the anahata chakra and sends the energy of love into the whole creation.
„When you cannot be protected, this mantra shall protect you. When things stop, and won’t move, this makes them move in your direction.” – Yogi Bhajan’s quote.
Note
This sacred mantra can be recited standing, sitting, walking, cooking, swimming or in mantra meditation, at any time and any place. It doesn’t matter what asana you are in, what day or what time of day it is. The breath will come naturally.
