Gopi-jana-vallabha giri-vara-dhari.

Yasoda-nandana vraja-jana-ranjana,

Yamuna-tira-vana-cari.”

Shri Krishna Bhajan – Jaya Radha Madhava translation in English:

”Lord Krishna is the lover of Radha. He displays many amorous pastimes in the groves of Vrndavana,

He is the lover of the cowherd maidens of Vraja, and the holder of the great hill named Govardhana.

He is the beloved son of mother Yasoda, the delighter of the inhabitants of Vraja,

and He wanders in the forests along the banks of the River Yamuna!”

Description:

Srila Prabhupada (a Gaudiya Vaishnava spiritual teacher and the founder preceptor of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness) was very fond of this mantra and sang it just before his lectures. In Gorakhpur and Allahabad, Srila Prabhupada fell into a trance after chanting the first 2 lines of this mantra and after some time, he came back into external consciousness and said: “Now just chant Hare Krishna mantra.”

This is the original nature of Krishna. He is Radha-Madhava; He is the lover of Srimati Radharani. He always enjoys the company of the gopis within the bushes of Vrindavana forest.Jaya radha-madhava kunja-vihari, Gopi-jana-vallabha giri-vara-dhari. Yasoda-nandana vraja-jana-ranjana, Yamuna-tira-vana-cari

Not only is He the lover of Radharani, but all the residents of Vrindavana love Lord Krishna. Nore importantly, they do not know anything else. They do not know whether Krishna is God or not, nor are they very much harassed by the thought “I shall love Krishna if He is God.” Instead, they think: “He may be God or He may not be God. Whatever He is, it doesn’t matter, but we love Lord Krishna.”

“It is I who remain seated in the heart of all creatures as the inner controller of all; and it is I who am the source of knowledge, memory, and the ratiocinative faculty. Again, I am the only object worth knowing through the Vedas; I alone am the origin of Vedanta “knowledge” and the knower of the Vedas too. — Krishna” ― Anonymous, The Bhagavad Gita
