Om Tryambakam Yajamahe mantra lyrics in Sanskrit:
Om Trayambakam Yajamahe,
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam,
Urva Rukamiva Bandhanan,
Mrityor Mokshiye Maamritat
This Sanskrit mantra is a potent combination of sounds that, if repeated with faith, perseverance, and dedication over a period of time, leads, not only to victory over the fear of death, but eventually to victory over death itself or spiritual liberation (moksha). It is therefore known as a ”moksha mantra.”
This soothing mantra was also revealed to the great Rishi Vashishtha (is one of the seven great Rishis) while he was in a state of deep meditation (samadhi). It is to be found in Shree Rudra Prashnaha (Rudra’s Question), from the 5th chapter of the Taittiriya Upanishad, which belongs to the Yajur Veda (ancient Vedic Sanskrit text). It is mentioned in many places in the Yajur, Rig and Sama Vedas.
Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is actually comprised from sacred chants which are found in the three Vedas: The Rig Veda (seventh mandal, 59th chapter, 12th mantra), the Yajur Veda (third chapter, 60th mantra), and the Atharva Veda (14th mandal, first chapter, 17th mantra).
Lord Shiva (also known as Mahadeva) is the truth and he is The Transcendent Lord (Parameshwara). The followers of Lord Shiva believe he is Self Created (Swayambho). More importantly, it is considered that Lord Shiva is easy to please and often grants boons to His sincere devotees. Whether it concerns finance, money, happiness or health, Lord Shiva will grant all your wishes and aspirations and relieve you from your sufferings.
Mahamrityunjaya mantra meaning in English:

May he lead us to immortality, just as the cucumber is released from its bondage (the vine to which it is attached).”
