This mantra is considered as the maha-mantra of The Dark Age (Kaliyuga). Kaliyuga refers to the present era of machine, where truth, the level of consciousness, and morality are at their lowest level. Moreover, it is considered that by repeating daily this amazing mantra with devotion and faith, one can achieve Moksha (spiritual salvation) and inner peace.
Both, Lord Krishna and Lord Rama are the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe.
Lord Vishnu is the supreme reality and both of his incarnations (Krishna and Rama) are ultimate. They have reached the de-facto status. Daily repetition, with a pure heart, of these sacred names, in itself, is considered auspicious, beneficial, and favorable. These holy names are derived from ancient Indian texts of knowledge called Vedas.
